Razib finishes 3rd in C'wealth Chess

Grand Master Enamul Hossain Razib bagged a bronze medal in the Commonwealth Chess Championship after beating MS Thejkumar in the final and 11th round held in Nagpur, India, Monday, reports bdnews24.com.
Razib, who eared 8.5 points from 11 games, was awarded Rs 100,000 as prize money.
British GM Nigel Short became champion securing 9.5 points while Indian GM Surya Shekhar Ganguly finished runner-up with 9 points.
FM Taibur Rahman of Destiny, Mohammad Javed of Destiny, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag of Biman and FM Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar of Destiny also participated in the meet where 272 players including 13 GMs, 31 FMs took part.
