Razu urges people to remain alert against conspiracy

Posts and Telecommuni-cations Minister Raziuddin Ahmed Razu Thursday urged the people to remain alert against conspiracy and propaganda against the present democratic government, reports BSS.
He said a certain quarter is engaged in misleading campaign against National Women Development Policy terming the policy anti-Islamic and urged all to remain aware in this regard.
The minister was addressing the Law and Order Coordination Committee meeting at Narsingdi circuit house organised by the district administration.
With Deputy Commi-ssioner of Narsingdi Amrita Baroi in the chair, the meeting was addressed, among others, by president of District Awami League Advocate Asaduzzaman, vice president Advocate SA Hadi, president of District Jatiya Party Shafiqul Islam, Chairman of Raipura Upazila Advocate Younus Ali, Chairman of Shibpur Upazila Fazlur Rahman (Fatik Master), Chairman of Polash Upazila Faruqul Islam and president of Narsingdi Press Club Nibaran Chandra Ray.
The minister said the present government headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is very much aware about maintaining law and order in the country. He stressed the need for helping the law enforcing agencies to build a peaceful and crime free society.
He also enquired about the development work in Narsingdi and asked the officials to discharge their duties in time with utmost sincerity and honesty.
