RCC assured of getting increased fund

RAHSHAHI, July 22: Local Government, Rural Development (LGRD) and Cooperatives Minister Syed Ashraful Islam has assured the Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) authorities to increase fund allocation for development projects of the Corporation.
The minister gave the assurance while speaking at a views exchanging meeting here Thursday.
The minister announced to allocate Tk 100 million in phases for the development of Shahid Kamruzzaman Central Park and Zoo. Of the fund, Tk 30 million will be sanctioned during the current fiscal year, he mentioned.
Presided over by RCC Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, the meeting was attended, among others, by State Minister for LGRD Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Chief Executive Officer of the RCC Azhar Ali and Panel Mayor Shariful Islam.
