RCC to enhance recreational facilities

RAJSHAHI, Sept 24 (BSS): Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has taken necessary steps to enhance recreational facilities here with a view to attracting more visitors to the city.
City Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton said this while visiting the city's Shaheed AHM Quamaruzzaman Central Park and Zoo Wednesday. He also inaugurated the Park Palace Chinese Restaurant and Commu-nity Centre near the Park.
Mayor Liton said renovation and other infrastructural development works for the central park and zoo have already started to make it more attractive to the visitors.
"To create proper living atmosphere for the existing beasts and birds, embankment around the lake will be further raised," he said.
He asked the officials concerned to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty for proper management of the central park in the greater benefit of the visitors.
RCC ward councillors Quamruzzaman, Nomanul Islam and Farzana Haque, Awami League leaders Chowdhury Khurshid Bin Alam, Asaduzzaman Asad, Shahadat Hossain and Kutubul Alam and businessmen Golam Sarwar, among others, were present on the occasion.
