RCC unlikely to raise trade licence fees

RANGPUR, July 28 (BSS) :  Mayor of Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) Sarfuddin Ahmed Jhantu said trade licence fee rates will remain unchanged during the current fiscal like last fiscal and asked new traders for availing the same soon.
The City Mayor said this at a views-sharing meeting arranged for discussing about the trade licence fee rates for the current fiscal year with the traders and business community leaders of the city at his office here on Monday.
President of District Shop Owners' Association Altaf Hossain led the delegation of the traders and leaders of different trade and business organisations of the city. Secretary of RCC Fazlul Kabir, its Chief Licence Inspector Mohammad Ali, Licence Inspector Rafik Ul Hassan, President of District Shop Owners' Association  Altaf Hossain, Secretary General of Rangpur City Shop Owners' Association Rezaul Islam Milan, its Joint Secretary Generals Nurul Islam and Moazzem Hossain Mithu, were present.  Vice-president of District Shop Owners' Association Khondker Maruf Elahi Khashru, leaders of different trade and business organisations Abdul Kader, Joynal Abedin, Masum Hassan, Zabed Hossain Jewell, Amjad Hossain and Samsur Rahman Koyel also addressed the meeting.
Responding to the request for keeping trade licence fee unchanged of the visiting trade and business delegation members, the City Mayor said the trade licence fee rates will remain unchanged during the current fiscal year like that in the past fiscal.
However, he requested the visiting trade and business delegation members for renewing their trade licences and inspiring the new traders for obtaining trade licences from the City Corporation within September 30 next.
