Re-tender for container operator in Ctg port invited

CHITTAGONG, July 9: Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) has taken initiative to invite fresh quotations to appoint berth operators for container and containerised cargo handling in the port. Tenders have been invited under opening-tender method through newspapers for quick selection of container operators. The CPA wants to finalise appointment of berth operators for containers and containerised goods within August 2010 and with that aim it has offered the bidders only one week's time to submit quotations of the re-tender. The port authority said re-tenders will be opened at 11.30 am on July 15 at the CPA board room in front of the bidders. Selection of handling parties after scrutiny of the quotations will be completed within August, officials said. — Our Correspondent
