Recognise govt as legal for dialogue: Hanif to BNP

KURIGRAM: Awami League joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif  Saturday said that dialogue can take place with BNP if it recognises the government as legal.
“BNP has to take decision on the legitimacy of the incumbent government. Dialogue can take place with BNP if it recognizes the government as a legal one. Or else no dialogue will take place,” he said while addressing a workers meeting of Kurigram district Awami League at local Public Library premises.
The ruling AL leader said, “Awami League doesn’t bow down to any sort of foreign pressure, rather gives importance to public pressure and their desire, according to a news agency.
