Record power generation

It is good to know that recently the Power Development Board has produced and supplied 7,371 megawatt electricity to the national grid, which is the highest ever.
The present government deserves appreciation for lessening load shedding. These days, people do not suffer that much due to power shortage and I hope, soon we will be able to produce required electricity.
However, the demand for power is rising with each passing day. Without adequate power supply, we cannot dream of achieving economic prosperity. The government has been doing a commendable job in power sector and now it needs to take long-term plan to be totally sufficient in power sector.
Many investors from home and abroad are not investing in our country as they are not getting gas and electricity supply. Often we see electricity playing truant in our country and hampering economic activities.  The ruling party should invest its time and energy for the welfare of the common people and reduce corruption in our country.
Our politics should be people-oriented. If the government can produce enough power, it will help our country in a big way and also increase its popularity among the common people. I hope, the government will keep up its good work in the power sector and soon load- shedding will become a matter of the past.
