Regional music festival to be held Feb 28

South Asian Music Institute (SAMI) is going to host 'South Asian Music Festival-2014' with a view to strengthening the existing cultural bond in the region, in the city on Friday.
International Affairs Adviser to Prime Minister Gowhar Rizvi is expected to inaugurate the gala musical event at the auditorium of the National Museum, said the convener of the festival Sharif Ashrafuzzaman.
The convener made the official announcement of the festival at a press conference at the National Press Club in the city Saturday. Among others, member secretary of the festival Dr Abul Azad and Secretary Fakir Siraj were present on the occasion.
Mr Ashrafuzzaman said prominent musicians from the Asian countries including India and Nepal will perform local and regional melodic works.
