Enlistment of women seeking job abroad under the government database is set to begin towards the end of next month (November), said officials.
"The possible date of the registration is November 23," a senior official of the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment told the FE.
He also said both the skilled and unskilled job seekers will be allowed under the programme. "And they will be eligible for any country as per their experience and the demand placed by the recruiting country."
The registration will continue for a minimum of four days. It will begin with the Dhaka division. After that the programme will be held in the remaining divisions gradually.
The previous job databank is almost empty as maximum enlisted female employment seekers have already gone abroad with jobs, according to the official.
In 2013, around 50,000 female job seekers were enlisted under the government database for overseas employment in various sectors including house workers.
Currently, the demand for Bangladeshi female workers is increasing in different countries including the Middle East, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
"We need a rich database to meet the growing demand for the female workers," the official noted.
