Elections to the executive committee of the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) for 2008-09 will be held on March 29.
The apex body of the country's over 400 realtors was formed with 11 members in 1991 to strengthen the role of the country's real estate sector. The objective of REHAB was also to promote formal private sector real estate development in Bangladesh.
The private sector housing association is supporting the inflow of remittance by selling ready flats to the expatriate Bangladeshis through fair both at home and abroad.
Some 50 realtors submitted their candidature for 21 posts of directors of the executive committee, said an official of the secretariat of the REHAB said.
Of the candidates, he said four withdrew their candidature on March 13, the last date for withdrawal of nomination.
