REHAB holds up membership of Green Delta

FE Report Realtors' group has held up membership of Green Delta Housing and Development (Pvt) Ltd citing its "fraudulent activities" with customers. In a statement, the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) said it has given several reminders after receiving complains from customers, but the company has not provided "satisfactory" response to the association. The housing construction company has been accused of defrauding its clients by delaying hand-over of flats, signing multiple sale agreements for same flats and forging bank cheques. REHAB authority, in its executive committee meeting held Saturday, has taken the decision of holding up the company's membership until the response. Despite written request, no representative of the accused company was present in the association's meeting on 19 November to address the complaints, statement said. Besides, the REHAB authority has issued a showcause notice upon some other companies due to its fraudulent activities to the customers, it added.
