Tuesday, 19 August 2014

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Land Ministry recommended reducing the number of landless people by rehabilitating them on khas lands (govt-owned lands) through the cluster village project. It asked the ministry to prioritise the specific proposals came from the areas where there are huge khas lands and landless people, and bring the proposals under the cluster village project to rehabilitate them on the khas lands. The committee made the suggestions at its third meeting held at Jatiya Sangsad with its chairman Rezaul Karim Hira in the chair, according to a news agency.
