Relating Khaleda's case to Bar Council polls ill-politics: Hanif

KUSHTIA, Apr 29 (BSS): Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif today said relating BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's case with Dhaka Bar Council election is a part of political ploy of BNP.
"The issue related to the election of the Supreme Court could be better explained by the lawyers associated with the Supreme Court. Relating Khaleda Zia's case with Dhaka Bar Council election is nothing but part of a political ploy," he said.
He made the remarks in response to a question from reporters at his residence on PTI Road in Kushtia.
About the US sanctions, the government will explain the matter of the allegation and resolve it through discussion, Hanif said.
Turning to the upcoming general election, he hoped that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would become triumphant in the polls again.
