Relaxed hartal in 2 Kushtia upazilas
Sunday, 2 March 2014
The dawn-to-dusk shutdown, called for Sunday in two upazilas of Kushtia district by the local units of BNP, has been progressing in a relaxed way. BNP has been enforcing the general strike (hartal) since 6am today in Khoksha and Kumarkhali upazilas protesting against “vote-rigging, centre-grabbing and driving out voters from polling centres during Thursday’s elections to the two upazilas. No untoward incident was reported at 1:45pm when the report was filed, according to a news agency.
