Release of 1,000 convicted won't destabilise security: DMP chief

DMP commissioner AKM Shahidul Haq Thursday said the country's security would not be destabilised, if some 1,000 convicted are released from prison as per the Prime Minster's commitment.
"Activities of the released prisoners will be closely monitored, so that they can't reengage themselves in criminal activities. If anyone tries to do so, s/he would be locked again," he said.
