Remedy from the second wave

Wednesday, 23 September 2020

After six months of Covid-19 in Bangladesh, many people are resigned to the fate and others have been reluctantly optimistic about herd immunity. Desperation for making a living has made millions forget the risks as health rules are flouted in absence of proper regulation and enforcement. In such a context, the apprehensions of the second wave of coronavirus outbreak or news of possible deterioration during the winter doesn't make people serious about taking necessary preparations to combat the virus and its economic fallouts.
So, the authorities should come up with fresh messages and programmes to persuade the people. Information of the virus, remedial measures, and state of treatment including vaccine availability should be disseminated immediately.
