The first ever Bangladesh remittance fair will be held on April 26-28 in Chittagong and on April 30-May 2 in Sylhet, said a press release.
The fair will be jointly organised by Dhaka International Exhibition Company Limited (DIEC) and Bangladesh Expatriate Welfare Association (BEWA) aiming to increase the remittance inflow through banking channel.
The week-long remittance fair will be enriched with roadshow, a number of seminars, anti-hundi awareness programme for the remitters as well as remittance beneficiaries and information on prevailing remittance facilities offered by different banks.
Hundreds of expatriate Bangladeshis are expected to attend the fair for sharing their experiences on remittance.
A total of 20 Bangladeshi commercial banks will display their remittance facilities as well as expatriate banking services in the fair to be held at the Engineer's Institute, Chittagong and Hafiz Complex, Dhopa Dhigirpar in Sylhet.
