Remittance inflow $927.60m in 21 days

The remittance inflow to the country during the first 21 days of the current month showed an encouraging sign, totalling US$ 927.60 million till February 21. The remittance inflow last month (January) totalled $ 1,260.66 million, according to the latest data provided by the Bangladesh Bank (BB). The central bank data showed that some $ 14,461.14 million came as remittance in the last fiscal year (2012-13). It also showed that of the total remitted amount during the 21 days of February, the highest $610.49 million came through the private commercial banks. — UNB
