Removal of BIWTA chairman demanded

The National Committee to Protect Shipping, Roads and Railways on Saturday demanded removal of the chairman of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) and other officials concerned in connection with the capsize of ‘Pinak-6’ launch. The main causes behind the capsize of ‘Pinak-6’ was the overloading of passengers as well as driving of the vessel in a bad weather, said leaders of the committee at a press conference at Mukti Bhaban, according to a news agency.
