Remove hassles in land registration, says PM

Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina Tuesday asked the officials of Directorate of Registration to be more careful and sincere in land registration process for minimising public sufferings, reports UNB. The PM gave the directives when a delegation of Bangladesh Registration Service Association, led by Inspector General of Registration Munshi Nazrul Islam, met her at the PM's Office. She said that the present government was making relentless efforts to facilitate people getting the public services without any hassle through digitalisation of the land management system to end the sufferings of people. Sheikh Hasina also said that e-service centre had been inaugurated in every district to ensure people's access to information and make life easier for them. She said that people now could collect land-related documents without any hassle through the internet. They also got other facilities from those centres which were essential in everyday life, she added. The PM appreciated the registrars for their hard work in tax collection, contributing to the development efforts of the government. About their problems, Hasina assured them of taking steps to resolve those after necessary scrutiny. State Minister for Law Advocate Quamrul Islam, Principal Secretary to the PM Sheikh M Wahid-Uz Zaman, PMO Secretary Mollah Waheeduzzaman and Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad were, among others, present on the occasion. Earlier, Egyptian Ambassador to Bangladesh Mahmoud Yehia Mohamed Ezzat Mostafa paid a courtesy call on PM at her office. After the meeting, Press Secretary to the PM briefed the journalists.
