Remove posters of frauds with Bangabandhu’s portrait

Wednesday, 18 March 2015

Awami League leader Obaidul Quader has ordered his party members to tear down posters or banners showing extortionists and frauds hoisted next to those of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, reports bdnews24.com.
He made the call at a discussion in the party's central office on Bangabandhu's birth anniversary and the National Children's Day on Tuesday.
The ruling party's Presidium Member said, "How many of us truly follow the ideology of the Father of the Nation? How many of us have read his biography?"
"I get really upset when I see posters of those obvious extortionists and frauds displayed beside the posters and banners of the Father of the Nation," he said.
He said he did not wish to see posters of those involved in looting and land-grabbing and asked leaders and activists to take them down.
"Those who will remove such posters are genuine followers of Bangabandhu's ideology," said Quader, the Roads Transport and Bridges Minister.
About violent politics, he said, "A political party is calling shutdown and supporting blockade even on the birthday of the Father of the Nation, when the parties should have built up a working relationship among themselves.
