Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan begins journey

A new luxury hotel, Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan has formally begun its journey aiming to meet the growing demand for world class hospitality service for business and leisure travellers.
The hotel is the fourth outlet of US-based diversified hospitality company Marriott International in Bangladesh, which will uphold local culture with a balance of contemporary lifestyle.
This was disclosed at a ceremony held at the Renaissance Hotel ballroom on Wednesday afternoon.
Premier Hotel Management Company Limited Chairman HBM Iqbal, its Managing Director Moin Iqbal, General Manager (GM) of the Renaissance Hotel Jerome Lienart, and GM of JW Marriott Kolkata Gaurav Singh spoke on the occasion, among others.
Introducing the new hotel, Mr HBM Iqbal said the Renaissance Hotel team has been working for the last 8-9 years to establish the hotel to maintain high standard.
"We believe the distinct hotel will be the most preferred destination for all travellers and explorers visiting the city," he said.
He also said the new facility has generated around 500 employments mostly Bangladeshis.
Without disclosing any figure, he said the hotel has been established with local investment.
Mr Moin Iqbal said Renaissance Hotel will offer guests the perfect balance of style, innovation and the warmth of Marriott International's hospitality, in a stylish environment.
The new 211-room Renaissance Hotel offers several restaurants, dedicated meeting and banquet space.
The Marriott has established 160 hotels under 'Renaissance' branding located in over 30 countries around the world, the speakers said.
