Renata EPS posts 26.15pc growth

Renata, a leading drug maker, posted a moderate growth in its earnings per share (EPS) for the year ended on June 30, 2021, compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.
The company has reported its consolidated EPS at Tk 51.94 for fiscal year (FY) 2020-21, up 26.15 per cent from the EPS of Tk 41.17 for FY 2019-20.
Renata has also reported its consolidated NAV per share at Tk 263.85 for FY '21 as against Tk 223.32 for FY '20.
Its consolidated NOCFPS stood at Tk 44.34 for the year ended on June 30, 2021 as against Tk 48.08 for the same period of the previous fiscal year.
The company's board of directors has recommended 145 per cent cash and 10 per cent stock dividends for the year ended on June 30, 2021.
In a disclosure, the company informed that bonus shares have been recommended with a view to utilising its retained amount as capital for the expansion of its manufacturing facility.
The disclosure also said bonus shares are not declared from the capital reserve or revaluation reserve or any unrealised gains or out of profit earned prior to incorporation of the company or through reducing paid-up capital or through doing anything so that the post-dividend retained earnings become negative or a debit balance.
The company had disbursed 130 per cent cash and 10 per cent stock dividends for the year ended on June 30, 2020.
Renata, an 'A' category company, was listed with the stock exchanges in 1979.
