Reopen Limon's case against six RAB men: Court
Monday, 2 April 2018
A Jhalakathi court has ordered the authorities to reopen the case against six Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel over the alleged murder attempt on student Limon Hossain seven years ago, reports bdnews24.com.
Limon's mother Henoara Begum started the case at Jhalakati Senior Judicial Magistrate's Court on April 10, 2011.
In the case, she said a RAB team shot Limon, who used to work in a brick kiln, in the leg after taking him to a place adjacent to his house at Jamaddarhat in Rajapur Upazila of the district on March 23 that year.
She accused the six members of RAB-8 of Barisal of trying to murder and maiming her son.
The court dismissed the case after police said in its investigation report that the accused were 'innocent' on August 15, 2012.
