A court in the city on Sunday set October 15 as the date to submit a probe report in a case filed against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 6 others over the murder of grocer Abu Saiyed on July 19 in the city's Mohammadpur area during the anti-discrimination student movement, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Zaki-Al-Farabi set the date as the investigating officer of the case couldn't submit the report on Sunday.
Amir Hamza Shatil, a resident of Mohammadpur, pleaded to file a murder case with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury against Sheikh Hasina and others on August 13.
The other accused are: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former inspector general of police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, former DB chief Harun-Ur- Rashid, former DMP commissioner Habibur Rahman and former DMP joint commissioner Biplob Kumar Sarker.
