Monday, 6 February 2023

A Dhaka court on Sunday set March 23 for submitting the probe report against Sultana Ahmed, former general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal, in a Digital Security Act (DSA) case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury passed the order as police failed to submit the report to the court on Sunday, reports BSS.
Earlier on November 6, RAB-3 arrested Sultana from her Gulshan residence. As she was produced before the court the same day, the court placed her on two-day remand.
Former president of Gopalganj District Chhatra League Abdul Hamid filed the case with Paltan Model Police Station.
According to the case, Sultana made hateful and offensive comments on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina while attending a rally of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in front of public media on September 1, 2022.
