The National Board of Revenue (NBR) in a move Thursday transferred a total of 45 customs officials to different positions within the board.
Of them, 11 are commissioners of customs houses in Dhaka, Chittagong, Jessore, Rajshahi and Sylhet.
Sources said the board, for the first time, transferred 11 commissioners of different customs houses at a time.
The board has made Chittagong Customs House (Import) Commissioner Farid Uddin as director general of Inspection directorate (Customs, Excise and VAT) Dhaka.
It also transferred commissioner of Chittagong Customs, Excise and VAT Commissonarate Abdul Mannan Patoary to Large Taxpayers Unit (VAT), Dhaka and made Benapole Customs House Commissioner Noor Mohammad Miah as DG Customs, Excise and VAT Training Academy, Chittagong.
The board has made DG customs Duty Exemption and Drawback Office (DEDO) Dhaka Nasir Uddin as Commissioner Customs house Benapole, Jessore and transferred Commissioner Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionarate Dhaka (South) Enayet Hossain to Rajshahi in the same rank.
The NBR has transferred Commissioner Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionarate Rajshahi Sultan Md Iqbal to Jessore and commissioner of Jessore Rejaul Hassan to Dhaka (south), and made commissioner customs evaluation and internal inspection Chittagong Shahnaz Parvin as DG of DEDO.
The board has transferred Chittagong customs, excise and VAT (appeal) house commissioner Md Lutfor Rahman to Customs House (Import) Chittagong.
