Resisting Eve teasers with united efforts stressed

Speakers at various programmes urged all to resist Eve-teasers with united efforts and asked all concerned to hand over the troublemakers to the law enforcers.
They said mass awareness should be created among the people from all walks of life against Eve teasing to ensure safe movement of women and children, reports BSS.
They were addressing discussions, human chains and rallies across the country Sunday.
The speakers said the issue of Eve teasing would not be taken lightly, as this social menace forced many girls to commit suicide.
Bogra District Information Office organised a discussion and rally against Eve-teasing in the town. The rally started from Sathmatha Zila School and paraded different streets of the town. A good number of students, guardians, teachers, elite and social workers attended the rally. After the rally a discussion was held at Zila School auditorium.
Deputy Commissioner Iftekharul Islam Khan addressed the discussion as the chief guest with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Komolaranjan Das in the chair.
District Awami League (AL) President Momataj Uddin, Azizul Hoque Government College Principal Professor AKM Salamat Ullah, Additional Police Super Motiur Rahman, Sadar Upazila Chairman Ali Ajgor Talukder and UNO Sultana Parvin addressed as special guests.
