Resume Internet immediately

Urges Editors' Council

FE REPORT | Saturday, 20 July 2024

The Editors' Council has demanded immediate restoration of Internet service for the sake of uninterrupted flow of news and information.
A statement issued by President of the Editors' Council Mahfuz Anam and its Secretary Dewan Mohammad Hanif on Friday said Internet shutdown from Thursday evening had seriously interrupted the exchange of information across the country.
The statement came as Internet service has been suspended nationwide to "prevent" propaganda and "spread" of misinformation amid widespread anti-quota protest.
