Revenue budget of Tk 1.08b approved for BUET

The revenue budget of total Taka 1.08 billion (108.80 crore) has been approved for Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) for 2015-2016 fiscal year, said a university press release in Dhaka Saturday, reports BSS.
The budget has been approved by the finance committee on June 28 and also in the syndicate meeting held on June 30.
Under the budget, Taka 67 million (6.70 crore) has been earmarked from university's own income and the rest of Taka 1.02 billion (102.10 crore) as grant by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Of the total budget, Taka 820 million (82 crore) has been earmarked for salary, allowance and pension, Taka 130 million (13 crore) for general and secondary purpose, Taka 87 million (8.70 crore) earmarked for education and research and Taka 51 million (5.10 crore) to be spent for repairing and other resource procurement purposes.
