Review meet on project for the marginalised's digital inclusion held

SUNAMGANJ, June 01: Participants in a review meeting discussed progress of the project styled 'Safe Digital Space for Girls and Youth' (SDSGY) in Nabinagar area of Sunamganj recently.
Keeping digital literacy in mind, Plan International, Telenor and Grameenphone jointly undertook the project aiming to increase digital inclusion of the marginalised groups.
With a two years' stipulated timeframe, the project is likely to be completed in December this year. The discussants put focus on the project's activities about building awareness about digital skills and security of women of the Burman community. Around 100 women from the community participated in the session on digital literacy and online safety.
Grameenphone's chief executive officer (CEO) Yasir Azman, Telenor's head of sustainability Johan Martin, Plan International Norway Advisor (YEE & Digital) Alexandria Kensland Letellier, Plan International Bangladesh Country Director Kavita Bose and senior officials of the three organisations were present at the discussion.
