Rice procurement drive going on in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Oct 23 (BSS):The Boro rice procurement drive is going on in full swing in the district during the current season. Food department sources said the government has set a target to procure a total of 30,725 metric tonnes of rice from the millers of the district this year. Of the total, some 26,884 MT of rice have already been purchased from the 547 millers of the district and per KG of rice is being bought at TK 28. M. Jamal Hossain, district controller food said that the target fixed by the government might be achieved the target.
