Rickshaw-puller killed in road crash

A rickshaw-puller was killed and another injured in a road accident at Shariatpur Sadar Upazila on Tuesday morning. The dead is Dulal Bapari, 35, of Daubhog village of the upazila. Police said a covered van hit a rickshaw on the Chittagong-Khulna highway at Burirhat under Shariatpur Sadar Upazila around 8am, leaving rickshaw-puller Dulal dead on the spot, injuring another. The injured was rushed to the Sadar Hospital. Police arrested covered van driver Salim, 45, according to BSS.
