Risks in public transports

Thursday, 17 September 2020

Apart from violation of social distancing rule while commuting, some of the most serious issues in the transport sector are not coming to the notice of all, mainly because of the hue and cry over coronavirus pandemic. We've forgotten the reports of explosion of gas cylinders, though public transportsstill carry such gas cylinders which are potentially dangerous.
A section of unscrupulous transport owners are using low-cost cylinders. The issue of driving such vehicles, especially on short-distance routes, by underage drivers or by drivers' assistants is no longer an issue. Colours of some vehicles have been brighter following pressure from passengers but the issue of safe driving is no more being discussed. We still hope such issues would not be neglected in the post-pandemic period.
