Rival groups of JCD clash leaves four hurt in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, Sept 3 (UNB): Rival groups of Jatiyatabadi Chhatro Dal (JCD) clashed in the town in the afternoon leaving four activists wounded.
Three badly injured named, Mahmud, Sabuj and Salahuddin, were rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
Witnesses said JCD, student wing of BNP, observed the day marking the release from jail of senior joint secretary general Tarique Rahman. Procession and rally were held in observance of the day.
At one stage rival groups of JCD clashed near town club that spread to BRTC bus stand. Both sides used sticks and stones, leaving four persons wounded.
Police came late to the spot and held an unidentified young man for interrogation.
