Rivals' clash leaves one killed, 30 injured

KERANIGANJ, Dec 10 (UNB): A man was killed and 30 others were injured in a clash between two rival groups over land dispute at village Kunderchar under South Keraniganj Upazila Friday.
The police said there was a long standing dispute between Lengra group and Shahjalal group over the ownership of a piece of land at the village.
Supporters of two groups equipped with home made lethal weapons attacked each other, leaving Rafique (48), son of Cheru Mia of the village dead on the spot and injuring 30 others in the afternoon.
On information, the law enforcers rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
Of the injured, 10 were admitted to Dhaka Medical Collage Hospital (DMCH).
