RMCH employees\\\' union leader shot dead

RANGPUR, Feb 27: Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a leader of Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) fourth-class employees' union from Sagirghat area at Shibganj upazila in Bogra district on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Abraham Linkon (42), general secretary of the union and a resident of Dhap area in Rangpur city.
The victim's wife Farzana Sharmin claimed that a group of 7-8 plainclothes people picked Abraham Linkon up into a white microbus while he was taking tea along with his colleagues on the campus on February 15. He had been missing since then.  
Later, locals found his bullet hit body in the area and informed police.  On information, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy where family members identified him. His head bore bullet injury marks.
Later, police handed over the body to victim's family in the evening.
