RMG workers go on rampage in Gazipur

GAZIPUR, Nov 11: Workers of two garment factories went on rampage at Bhogra and Konabari in the district headquarters Thursday protesting payment of low wages. Witnesses said workers of Rose Sweater unit-2 at Bhogra went on work abstention and demonstrated on the factory premises in the morning. Later, several hundred workers of the factory damaged factory furniture and two covered vans. Workers alleged that the authority paid low wages against production. On information, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Managing Director of the factory Abdul Motin Khan denied the workers' allegation.
