RMG workers on rampage over death in N\\\'ganj

NARAYANGANJ, Mar 28: Garment workers went on the rampage and clashed with the police following the death of one of their fellows in a road accident at Tipordi under Sonargoan upazila in the district on Saturday morning, reports UNB.
Mahbub Alam, 27, son of Keramat Ali of Kanetpur village in Barisal district and a garment worker of Chaiti Composite Limited Industry, was killed when a Dhaka-bound 'Swadesh Paribahan' bus hit Mahbub around 7am.
Ten bus passengers were also injured as the bus plunged into a roadside ditch after the incident. Being outraged by the incident, local people set fire to the bus. As the death news spread around, the fellow workers took to the streets and vandalised at least 15 vehicles parked at a nearby garage and blocked the highway.
