Road blocked in B'baria over student's death in accident

Two people were killed and three others injured in a road crash in Bogra Thursday while a college student died in separate crash in Brahmanbaria Wednesday night, reports UNB.
The college student's death sparked violent protest in Ashuganj and the Dhaka-Sylhet highway was blocked Thursday in protest against the accident.
In Bogra: A Lalmonirhat-bound bus from Dhaka collided head on with a passenger-packed auto-rickshaw on Dhaka-Bogra highway at Krishnapur at Mirzapur union in Sherpur Upazila, leaving an auto-rickshaw passenger instantly killed and another died at a local hospital at 2-30 pm on Thursday.
Three other auto-rickshaw passengers were severely injured.
The dead are Ratan Sarkar (25) of Tiroil Bishwa village of Bhabanipur union, who died on the spot and Joydev Sarkar (38) of Gomortapur village, who succumbed after admission to a local hospital.
In Brahmanbaria: A bus collided with a Shayestaganj-bound microbus from Ashuganj, leaving micro passenger Ibrahim (20), a student of Firoz Mia College and son of Ismail Mia of Chartola village, dead on the spot on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Ashuganj town on Wednesday night.
Angered at the accident, several hundred students brought out a procession in front of Firoz Mia College in Ashiganj to protest the fatal accident, demanding immediate arrest and exemplary punishment to the bus driver.
