Road carpeting works launched in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Mar 3 (BSS): Mayor of Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) and valiant freedom fighter Alhaj Sarfuddin Ahmed Jhantu launched carpeting works of two roads and construction of a drainage system at different areas in the city on Monday.
He launched the road carpeting works in Islambag and Shalbon areas under Ward No-17 and Ward No-25 and construction of drainage system in Babupara area under ward No-27 at separate ceremonies respectively in the city as chief guest.
RCC Councilors Jahurul Islam Azabbar (Ward No-17), Nurunnabi Fulu (Ward No-25) and Akram Hossain (Ward No-27), Hafiz Ahmmed Chhuttu (Ward No-24) and Councilor from reserved Ward Anjuman Ara Begum attended the ceremonies as special guests.
Superintending Engineer of RCC Emdad Hossain, it's Executive Engineer Azam Ali, Joint Secretary of City Shop Owners' Association Moazzem Hossain Mithu, President of District Crockery Association Ali Hossain Mollah, contractors Moazzem Hossain Lablu, Ariful Islam Mithun, Sirajul Islam Mithu and Khalequzzaman Jewel were present.
While addressing the ceremonies, the RCC Mayor said the infrastructural construction works of the roads, bridges, culverts; housing, sewerage systems and water and electricity supply lines are being conducted in the city as part of a long-term master plan.
