Road crash kills 7 in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT: At least seven people, including two children, were killed and four others injured in a collision between a microbus and a bus in Taiyab’s Battala area on Khulna-Mawa Highway in Fakirhat upazila Saturday. The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, according to a news agency.
Zahidur Rahman, assistant superintendent of police (ASP) of the district, said the accident took place when a Khulna-bound microbus from Mawa collided with a Madaripur-bound bus from Khulna in the area around 6:15pm, leaving seven passengers of the microbus dead on the spot and four others injured. The injured were rushed to Fakirhat upazila Health Complex.
Police recovered the bodies and sent those to hospital morgue for autopsy.
