Road crashes kill 2 in Joypurhat

Two people were killed and four others injured in separate road accidents in Akkelpur and Sadar upazilas of the Joypurhat district on Saturday. Witnesses said a human hauler (Nasimon) skidded off the Joypurhat-Akkelpur road and turned turtle in Pakar Matha area of the district town around 12pm, leaving cattle trader Khorshed Ali, 27, dead on the spot and four others injured. The injured –- Anwar, 36, Sujaul, 28, Obaidul, 31, and Abdul Khalek, 25, -- were admitted to the district modern hospital. In another accident, a motorcyclist was killed as a human hauler (Bhotbhoti) collided with his motorcycle on Joypurhat-Mangalbari road in Beltali intersection in sadar upazila at noon. The deceased was identified as Saidur Rahman , 31, a resident of Chandpur village in Sadar upazila, according to UNB.
