Road crashes kill two girls in two dists

NETRAKONA, Aug 09 (BSS): A girl was crushed under the wheels of a truck in Kurpar Masterbari area in the district town on Wednesday.
The dead is Jasmine Akter Panna, hailed from Kandi village in Sadar upazila. She was a Dakhil student at Kandi Alia Madrasa. Another was injured in the accident.
Farid Ahmed, sub-inspector of Netrakona model thana, said the
accident occurred in the morning in Kurpar Masterbari area as the truck hit their motorcycle. Panna died on the spot.
Police seized the truck. Later, the body was sent to Netrakona Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
Meanwhile, in Gopal-ganj, a fourteen-year-old girl was killed and three of her family members were injured in a collision between a micro bus and a passenger bus at Kazulia on Gopalganj-Kotalipara road in Sadar upazila of the
district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Alisha Mushkan, hailed from Kashiani upazila of the district.
They were heading towards Barisal boarded on the microbus.
