A robber was shot dead in a gunfight between his accomplices and police in the city's Pallabi area early Saturday.
Police said a group of four to five miscreants attempted to enter an under-construction building in the area at around 12:30 am. Sensing their (robbers) presence and the intent of robbery, the labourers of the building gave them a chase.
