Robber suspect lynched in Jessore

JESSORE, Dec 15 (UNB): An alleged robber was killed in a lynch-mob attack at Nehalpur in Manirampur upazila early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Touhidul Islam Touhid, 32, son of late Nazrul Islam of Masna village in the upazila.
Police said a gang of robbers swooped on some workers while returning from a local factory in the wee small hours.
Hearing screams of the workers, locals rushed out of their houses and managed to catch Touhid, believed to the ringleader of the gang, after a hot chase. Later, they gave him a good beating, leaving him dead on the spot.
