Robbers kill college student in B\\\'baria

A female college student was killed, allegedly by robbers, during a robbery at Sarail Upazila in Brahmanbaria district on Saturday morning. The dead is Ratna, 18, a 1st year honours student of Islampur Kazi Shafiqul Islam College. Locals said a gang of robbers stormed Osman Mia’s house at Noagaon village and kept the inmates of the house hostage at gunpoint at dead of night. The bandits looted valuables, including cash money and gold ornaments from the house. The robbers also hit Ratna and three other house inmates with sharp weapons as they screamed for help, leaving Ratna dead on the spot and others critically injured. The injured were rushed to a local hospital, according to a news agency.
