Robbers kill father and daughter in Khulna

Robbers strangulated to death one Elias Hossain (70) and his daughter Parveen Sultana (25) at Mohammad Nagar area in Khulna city Friday night.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Labonchara Police Station Mossarraf Hossain said a gang of armed robbers entered the house of Elias Hossain's at around 11.30pm.
Members of the residence screamed and tried to intercept the robbers, a BSS report said.
At one stage, the robbers strangulated Elias and his married daughter Parveen to death. They left with the loot of valuables including gold ornaments worth about Tk 5 lakh.
The OC said today "We could not know the reason behind the double murder, investigation has started and four neighbors' have been detained for interrogation."
The bodies have been sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) for autopsy.
