Robbers loot GB branch

Robbers looted valuables from a Grameen Bank (GB) branch at Bishoykhali Bazar in Sadar upazila on Tuesday. Locals said a gang of bandits riding on three motorcycles swooped on the Maharajpur Grameen Bank branch at about 4:30 pm and looted valuables, including cash Tk 8,150, five mobile phone sets and a gold chain, after taking the employees hostages at gunpoint. Confirming the incident, Quamrul Islam, manager of the bank, said the robbers stormed into the bank after all the money was sent to the main branch. Being informed, police visited the spot, according to a news agency.
